Consistently good experience

This isn't my first order from Modern Depo. I've bought cabinet hardware before, and this time I got a full bypass barn door hardware set. Like before, the product quality was excellent. No surprises, which is what I like. Everything arrived on time, about 4 days to my place in Arizona. The instructions were clear, just like the last time. It's why I keep coming back here when I need hardware.

Decent price for a good kit

I was looking for a good deal on a heavy duty barn door kit for a while. Found one here during their holiday sale, which was 20% off. It brought the price down quite a bit compared to other stores. The kit itself feels solid, not cheap. Shipping was free because my order was over $99. Worth the money, I think.

Got what I needed, no fuss

Needed some new drawer pulls for my kitchen cabinets. Found a set that looked pretty good here. Ordered them, they showed up a few days later, you know, like normal. They were easy to put on. My kitchen looks a little better now. It was all pretty straightforward.

Love my new hardware!

Got a double door hardware kit for my office and it is fantastic! The industrial door tracks look so good. Everything came packaged perfectly and installation was simple enough for me and my partner to do in an afternoon. It totally upgraded the room. I will definitely be back for more items!

I bought some black barn door hardware. It arrived quickly and was exactly as pictured. Installation was straightforward. No issues so far.

Can you stack discount codes at Modern Depo? Got a few from newsletters and sales.

N Noor Hughes 2 months ago

Nah, pretty sure it's one code per order. Tried it before and it didn't work for me.

S Sarah 2 months ago

I don't think so, most online stores only let you use one promo code at checkout.

Anyone know if Modern Depo has a first-time buyer discount? Looking to buy a bunch of stuff for a reno and every bit helps.

S Steve S. 2 months ago

Yeah, they usually have a first order code, I got one when I signed up for their newsletter. Check their site footer.

I think so? I definitely got a discount when I first bought from them, can't remember the exact percentage though.

Are their barn door kits pretty easy to install for someone who's kinda handy but not a pro? Or should I budget for a handyman?

D David Hughes 2 months ago

I put one up by myself, it was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were decent. Just need to measure carefully.

They're not too bad. Definitely manageable if you've done any DIY projects before. Just make sure you hit studs.

What's the return policy like if something doesn't fit or I just don't like it? Easy or a pain?

P Priya 2 months ago

Super easy. Returned some wrong-sized drawer pulls last month, no hassle at all.

Their returns were pretty smooth for me. Just follow the instructions on their site, it was quick.

Does Modern Depo offer free shipping automatically, or do I need a code for it?

E Emma Vargas 2 months ago

It's automatic once you hit over $99, you don't need a code.

J Julia 2 months ago

Nah, no code needed. Just make sure your cart total is high enough and it just applies.

Hey guys, thinking of getting one of their barn door kits. How long does shipping usually take to, say, California?

J Josh 2 months ago

Mine got to LA in about a week. Was pretty standard.

C Colin 2 months ago

I'm in northern CA and it was like 5-7 business days for my last order, that was for some cabinet pulls though, not a whole door kit.

Trying to decide between Modern Depo and BarnDoorHardware.com. Is there a big difference in quality for the price?

L Laura K. 2 months ago

I've only used Modern Depo, but their stuff feels really solid. Got a heavy duty kit from them and it's been great.

Modern Depo's hardware is super sturdy, especially for the price. I feel like some of the other places can be a bit flimsy for similar-looking items.
